The LT Starr Memorial Library, located at 162 Bradley Street. Guyra, offers numerous services to the residents of Guyra Shire. Membership of the Guyra Library is free and is open to any one who lives in Guyra Shire or the surrounding district. There is no lower age limit for joining the Guyra Library however children under the age of 18 years require the signature of a parent or guardian when joining. A membership card is issued to each borrower on joining, and must be presented whenever library materials are borrowed. Library users have access to the Armidale Library catalogue system from Guyra. A large range of reference material is available and those with special needs (such as large print & talking books) are also catered for. The Guyra library also provides, word processing, photocopying facilities and free Internet access. The loan period for all material is three (3) weeks which can be extended by telephoning 6779 1283 or in person, providing the item is not in demand. Books only may be returned outside the library opening hours through the chute provided near the front door of the library all other material must be returned during library opening hours.
